The people of the world declare Zionism and imperialism will fall, and Palestine will be free
One year ago, the heroic people of Palestine struck a historic blow against the imperialist-backed Zionist entity, breaking free from the blockaded and besieged Gaza Strip. The humiliated occupier responded in the only way it knows how, unleashing horrific violence with its U.S.-supplied arsenal. To date over 40,000 people (and likely far more) have been massacred; thousands have been detained and tortured; over 1,000 health workers and journalists have been assassinated; vital infrastructure like schools, hospitals, places of worship, and homes have been decimated. There is no other way to describe this than a genocide.
In this past year, the undeniable and brutal nature of imperialism has been made clear to millions around the world. Israel has not only refused to stop its daily assaults on the people of Palestine but now is escalating the genocide into a regional war. In the face of this depravity, a historic surge of anti-imperialist struggle has swept the world.
Port workers have refused to handle weapons bound for Israel, students have defied repression and expulsion to demand divestment from Israel, Indian construction workers have refused employment contracts in Israel as part of global boycott efforts; people from all sectors of society and economic life are engaged in struggle to stop Israel’s genocide.
The struggle continues with even more urgency today. The liberation of Palestine and the end of the Israeli occupation is the cause of all oppressed people in the world, as it is a struggle against imperialism itself. We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with our sisters and brothers in Palestine as we confront the imperialist-Zionist war machine.
We continue to demand:
1. An immediate end to all Zionist aggression and a ceasefire in Gaza.
2. An end to the blockade of Gaza.
3. The return of all occupied territory to the Palestinian people.
4. An end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
5. An end to aggressions and attacks against all other countries in the region.
The IPA renews our call for mobilization as an important means to show solidarity and calls for a week of global action from November 20th to 29th, the International Day of Solidarity with Palestine.
