Call for solidarity with Palestine against occupation, assassination and apartheid

On 29th of November every year, the supporters of freedom worldwide commemorate the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. This date, which was approved by the United Nations in 1977, coincides with the issuance of the unjust Resolution No. 181 of November 29, 1947, to divide Palestine between its people and its colonizers.

Therefore, this date has turned into a global day in which the opponents of colonialism, imperialism and Zionism stand to support the Palestinian people in their just and legitimate struggle for the liberation of their land, the return of their displaced people in diaspora and exile, and the building of their independent, democratic and secular state.

This year’s anniversary coincides with the escalation of attacks against the Palestinian people, crimes, assassinations, settlement expansion, house demolitions and land confiscation in order to change the demographic nature of Jerusalem and the West Bank. Besides, the Gaza strip has been subjected to repeated military attacks by land, sea and air, while the Palestinians in the occupied territories are subjected to the worst types of racism, violations and harm to national identity and basic rights.

The apartheid state of Israel constitutes part of the Western imperialist system led by the United States of America and is its military base. Its aggression against the Palestinian people is a part of an ongoing imperialist agenda targeting the peoples of the Middle East, Africa and all anti-imperialist voices.

The undersigned parties and organizations that consider the Palestinian cause a cause of national liberation, a cause of a people struggling for their inalienable rights to independence, liberation and return to their land:

1. Affirm our solidarity with the struggles of the Palestinian people and their legitimate resistance against the racist occupation state.

2. Condemn the crimes and attacks committed by the occupying state against the defenseless people and its national resistance, its youth, women and elders throughout the occupied homeland, and the continuation of the detention of thousands of prisoners, including the victims of administrative detention, the confiscation of lands and homes, the Judaization of the neighborhoods of Jerusalem and the cities of the West Bank, and the continuation of the occupation of the Syrian Golan and the Lebanese Shebaa Farms.

3. Condemn political, economic, and cultural normalization with the occupying state and all security and military agreements that target the struggles of peoples and all voices calling for liberation and emancipation from colonialism, tyranny and dependency.

4. Call upon on the popular movement and all free peoples of the world to further support the Palestinian cause, to oppose all forms of normalization with the occupying state, and to activate all forms of active boycott, as happened decades ago with the apartheid regime in South Africa, whose people won through their stubborn struggle and with the solidarity of all the peoples and free people of the world with it.

 Viva Palestine!

Down with the occupation!

Glory to the Resistance!
