International Statement in Solidarity with Palestine and in Rejection of the Zionist Massacre in Gaza

The delegates participating in the 3rd Dilemmas of Humanity Conference being held in Johannesburg from the 14th to 18th of October 2023 are following the brutal Zionist attacks against the Palestinian people and their resistance with great interest and grave concern. These attacks have taken the form of a vicious war of extermination with the brazen support of US imperialism, and its allies in Europe.
The participants of this international conference declare that:
In the legacy of those who struggled and were victorious against apartheid in South Africa, where we are convened, we demand an end to the Israeli apartheid state. We condemn the sixteen year old blockade on Gaza. The imposed Israeli apartheid state and the blockade are crimes against humanity.
We stand against the criminalization and dehumanization of the Palestinian people, and defend their right to resist. We reject the misinformation campaign fabricated by Israel and its allies to foment prejudice, spread hate and justify aggressions against the Palestinian people. The struggle for self determination, sovereignty, and the defense of human dignity must not be labeled “terrorism.” Furthermore, we denounce and firmly reject the criminalization of solidarity with Palestine by nation states supporting Zionism.
We strongly rebuke the extermination campaign of Israel against Palestinians. For decades Zionists have launched attacks on the Palestinian people, and the current massacre of unarmed civilians, including children, the elderly, and women brutally murdered by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip must be understood and denounced as a crime against humanity.
As of this moment, Israeli forces have killed 2, 808 people, of which 800 are children. The buildings being targeted and bombed are service facilities, especially hospitals, schools, water and electricity networks which are necessary infrastructure to sustain life. We denounce the ruthless and savage attack of Israeli forces on the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza which killed hundreds of doctors and patients.
We condemn the shameful silence and blatant complicity of regional states and institutions, as well as the financial and military aid provided by US imperialism to fuel the slaughter of Palestinians. We condemn the positions of governments in support of aggression and normalizing with the occupying entity, and consider Zionism a racist and fascist movement.
We recognize the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to liberation, independence and return as it has been recognized by the UN and the majority of states in the world.
We support Palestinian’s right to return, and we condemn the continued forceful displacement of Palestininans. Demanding that 1.1 million people leave their homeland without anywhere to go is criminal.
We call on all progressive forces and supporters of freedom around the world to take to the streets and squares, and engage in all forms of support for Palestine.
Join the call for a regional day of action in solidarity with Palestine on Friday, October 20th and the international day of solidarity on November 4th, 2023. We also call on all forms of boycotts to Israeli products and exposure of the terrorist actions of Israel.
We recognize that the struggle to free Palestine, and end the Israeli occupation is the struggle of all oppressed people for liberation and dignity. We must be in solidarity and defend the Palestinian’s struggle for self-determination, liberation, independence, and the right of Palestinians to return.
We demand:
1. An immediate end to all aggression and a ceasefire in Gaza.
2. End the blockade of Gaza.
3. The return of all the territory to the Palestinian people.
4. End the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
