Letters to Maduro and Cilia

A permanent campaign of solidarity with Nicolás Maduro, Cilia Flores and the Venezuelan people

Popular movements from Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as from other regions, are joining a permanent campaign of solidarity with Nicolás Maduro, Cilia Flores and the Venezuelan people. “Letters to Maduro and Cilia” is an initiative organized by ALBA Movements to send messages of solidarity, support and strength to the Venezuelan leaders, reaffirming the demand for their freedom and denouncing the kidnapping and illegal imprisonment carried out by U.S. imperialism.

The campaign began on September 3, 2026, marking eight months since the kidnapping and imprisonment of Maduro and Cilia. The initiative will continue as a permanent campaign, with mobilizations and new solidarity actions, especially on the 3rd of every month.

At this moment, sending a letter, a message or a drawing is also a way to break the silence and show that Maduro, Cilia and the Venezuelan people are not alone. International solidarity brings peoples together, strengthens the defense of sovereignty and keeps alive the denunciation of imperialist aggression.

How can you participate?

All activists, organizations and popular movements, especially young people, are invited to participate. You can send:

  • Handwritten or typed letters;
  • Drawings;
  • Videos reading the letters or sharing messages of solidarity.

Messages can be addressed to Nicolás Maduro, Cilia Flores and the Venezuelan people, expressing solidarity, support and a commitment to their freedom and to Venezuela’s sovereignty.
