This documentary follows the technical cooperation between Brazil and China to democratize the mechanization of peasant family farming in Brazil’s Northeast. The film reveals the challenges faced by Brazilian small-scale farmers and the expectations surrounding new agricultural technologies, which today are largely concentrated in agribusiness. By listening to the voices of the workers, the documentary shows how this partnership — inspired by the achievements of the Chinese Revolution — can strengthen agrarian reform, expand the production of healthy food, and modernize the countryside without abandoning agroecological practices, achieving a leap in productivity, environmental care, and social justice.
