As we commemorate this date 20 years on, we find ourselves at a new, precarious inflection point. The trilateral framework agreement signed on June 26, 2026, is being presented as a blueprint for &#8216;sovereignty&#8217; and &#8216;stability.&#8217; However the realities on the ground, from the militarized fragmentation of the Gaza Strip to the systematic annexation of the West Bank, make it clear that this framework is not a path to peace, but a sophisticated mechanism of containment. The struggle in Lebanon and the struggle in Palestine are two sides of the same coin.
