Entire villages have been submerged, vital transport and energy infrastructure destroyed, and hundreds of precious lives lost or left unaccounted for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This severe crisis highlights how extreme weather, accelerating glacial melting, and transboundary environmental hazards threaten mountain habitats.
